Please accept my sincerest apologies. It has come to my attention that due to my articles and information I am sharing with the general public, you may be losing business. With all the misinformation that has been put online, all the deceptive ads that have been circulated and all the gimicks that you are trying to pass off, it appears you are trying very hard to get customers.
I began to write to my clients on a regular basis so that they could be informed about the mortgage process in Charlotte. I have always felt I was only doing my job by giving my clients choices and by honoring my commitments to them. I don’t use Good Faith Estimates to “lowball” my clients. If anything, I go out of my way to provide realistic numbers In Good Faith!
Most of the time my closing cost estimates are higher than the actual closing costs at closing. I have always thought it better to prepare my clients for the possibilities that existed instead of trying to lure them in with rediculously low estimates. Of course, you are able to pick up a few of my clients that way.. but only once. Afterwards, they tend to come back to me the next time because they know I won’t decieve them.
I know you don’t mean to “play the game” with Charlotte’s home buyers and home owners. Unfortunately most of the deceptive practices are a result of trying to comete under silly and confusing laws, many meant to educate and inform consumers yet confuse them even more. However, you dive right in to the game playing and the borrower pays for it.
So I do apologize if educating the consumer and helping borrowers understand the right mortgage program for their needs hurts your business. It was never my intention to hurt your business in any way. I do hope you forgive me as I continue to help and educate.
Sincerely,

Ed Nailor, Mortgage Specialist
